Having recently celebrated our 5th birthday, we decided it was a good time to reflect with some of our Pareto team to find out exactly what they love about working for Pareto FM. We asked the question “why Pareto” to a number of our colleagues and here are the results!
We spoke to a real cross section of colleagues throughout the business, some who have been with us since the early days and some who are new to the family. We wanted the chance to really understand their thoughts and feelings on Pareto.
We put the following question to our team members:
Which part of the ‘Pareto Pathway’ have been the most special to you?
Cara – Facilities Manager
I think the start of the journey for me was the most special, after leaving an established career in fashion I thought it would be a good idea to start as a FOH assistant. Andrew and Dan took a gamble on me and I remember almost begging them to give me a chance, and I bet they regret taking me on! I have certainly brought noise to the Pareto family.
Dele – Workspace Team Lead
‘Dele’s Incredible Pret Interview’ – I remember my initial interview like it was yesterday. First of all, the idea of having it in a coffee shop threw me off completely; I just didn’t know what to expect! Upon meeting Andrew, Dan & Daisy I immediately felt at ease. Straight away I felt the warmth and complete transparent relationship which allowed me to just be myself! I remember leaving the coffee thinking ‘Was that an interview I just had?’. It honestly felt like I was just catching up with friends and I think that’s what makes Pareto so different! ‘Dele’s First Manager’s Day’ – This is by far the highlight of journey so far. Just to be amongst the most inspiring people really made me feel special; I’m still patting myself on the back as we speak!
Aneta – Front of House Lead
Pareto is a great company that helps people to develop professionally and personally. I am grateful to have an understanding manager by my side who is always helpful and willing to share her knowledge with me. I am also very happy that we can do more than only reception duties. We have the opportunity to assist other members of staff from different departments.
Mike – Facilities Manager
The close relationship with my other colleagues across the group along with the good open conversations with our senior leaders’ team such as Andrew and Charlie when required. This goes a very long way for new employees entering the Pareto pathway.
As a new employee in the company this was a life changing move – to find a company that shares the same positive forward-thinking approach to FM that I do was like winning gold. Moving jobs and industries is a stressful time in anyone’s life but moving to Pareto has been a dream, and one I have not looked back on. I am genuinely excited about the future and exploring the FM world with the best support behind me that any FM could wish for.
Dan – Technical Manager
For being such a new starter with Pareto and new into account management to have the opportunity of mobilising a major new contract felt like a great test and a challenge. It gave me a chance to use the skills sets I was aware I had but not necessarily had the chance to use in my previous rolls. To have the opportunity to work so closely with an established account manager and being able to annoy and pick his brains has benefitted me greatly in my own personnel development on my Pareto Pathway.
