Celebrating Our European Diversity Awards Nominees!

We are thrilled to share that two incredible members of our Pareto family have been nominated for this year’s European Diversity Awards!

A massive congratulations to Colin Kimber and Chris Barnes for their amazing achievements and well-deserved nominations!

The European Diversity Awards recognise outstanding leaders in equality, diversity and inclusion, those who have noticeably gone above and beyond to shape the workplace ensuring everyone feels empowered to succeed.

Here’s a look at our nominees and their award categories:

Colin Kimber: Diversity Champion of the Year Nominee

Colin’s commitment has been instrumental in driving meaningful change. This recognition reflects the incredible impact he’s made in advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion across the facilities management sector where he has been a true inspiration for the past 19 years.

In addition to his role with us at Pareto, Colin co-chairs the LGBT+ in FM committee, a cross-industry network dedicated to pushing for LGBTQ+ rights and representation. His efforts have been celebrated, notably earning him a place as a nominee on the Pride Power List and title of ‘Inspirational Role Model of the Year’ at The Bank of London Rainbow Honours 2024.

Through his multifaceted contributions - including active involvement in industry networks, events, research and mentoring programmes – Colin continues to be a driving force for positive change and progress.

Chris Barnes: Hero of the Year Nominee

Chris has been a shining example of what it means to advocate inclusivity. His unwavering dedication has been inspiring for many, consistently demonstrating how to create a space where everyone feels welcome and valued.

Being a passionate champion for the neurodiverse community, Chris has led numerous awareness campaigns and initiatives. One standout effort focused on helping young people secure employment within the facilities management sector, providing them with the guidance and encouragement needed to succeed.

Additionally, Chris co-founded the Neurodiversity Network in collaboration with IWFM, creating a supportive space where the neurodiverse community can share their experiences and receive career advice – ensuring that every voice is heard.

Let’s take a moment to celebrate Colin and Chris’ incredible contributions! We’re so proud to have them representing Pareto!
