Pareto’s Andrew Hulbert Named Leader of the Year at PFM 2024 Awards

Updated: Nov 8

In another fantastic achievement for Pareto, our founder and vice chair, Andrew Hulbert, has been awarded the Leader of the Year title at the PFM 2024 Awards. This recognition comes in our tenth year and highlights a key moment in our journey to redefine the approach to facilities management.

The PFM Awards are a celebrated event in the FM industry, showcasing top achievements across customer service, innovation, ESG, and leadership. These awards are well-regarded for their emphasis on both operational excellence and the collaborative relationships FM providers build with clients—partnerships that reflect shared missions and values.

This year, the focus shifts to an individual whose vision to reshape the sector has made a lasting mark. Reflecting on his award, Andrew said: “It feels incredibly special to see Pareto recognised with this Leader of the Year award. Ten years ago, we set out on a journey to disrupt the sector, and this award epitomises the journey we’ve been on. I want to thank the PFM Awards, the judging panel, my fellow finalists, and most of all, the team at Pareto. Without them, none of this would have been possible. I’m fortunate to receive this award, but it’s truly a recognition of the incredible work delivered by our people. Thank you again to everyone who has supported us. We are only just getting started!”

A Decade of Building a Different Kind of FM Company

When Andrew Hulbert founded Pareto, the sector was already home to a number of large, established players. But Pareto distinguished itself with a model that placed people at the centre and was driven by social value and community impact, marking a departure from the traditional approach to facilities management.

Our commitment to inclusivity, sustainability, and tailored partnerships has positioned Pareto as an agile, values-led partner to clients who seek more than just operational support. This recognition from PFM underscores our goal, and in Andrew’s words, “we’ve gone beyond simply delivering FM services; we’re striving to redefine them.”

For Andrew, this award reflects Pareto’s team as much as his own leadership. Every member of Pareto’s workforce contributes to a culture that values innovation, responsiveness, and a commitment to client partnerships. “I’m fortunate to receive the award, but it’s truly a recognition of the incredible work delivered by our people,” he said.

Looking Ahead and Redefining the Future of Facilities Management

As we look to the future, Andrew is clear that our journey is far from complete. We remain dedicated to embracing sustainable practices and social value as cornerstones of our approach, committed to evolving alongside the changing demands of both the sector and society. Andrew’s recognition as Leader of the Year is a moment to reflect, but it’s also a prompt to look ahead at how facilities management can further expand its impact.

Pareto’s unique approach makes us a compelling choice for organisations looking to build partnerships rooted in shared values, innovation, and people-centred service. As Andrew himself puts it, “we are only just getting started.”
